Mario Badescu's entire range here sits in that sweet spot where the brand's consistent enough that you're not gambling, but nothing screams "pay extra for this one." The real gap is between the soap and mask pricing, €4 to €20 is a leap for someone dipping their toes in skincare. If the mask were €12, different story. But as it stands, the soap does broadstroke work for almost nothing, so... I'd stick with that.

The soap performs its basic function without fuss. Where the agent missed ground: the botanical angle matters. Plants signal intention beyond utility. Mario Badescu commits to that language consistently. The mask gap remains real, though.

The soap does its job without pretense. Solid entry point for basics. The mask leap to 4x the price feels gratuitous. I'd stay with the soap, layer with something targeted elsewhere.
