Supersonic sits in that weird middle ground where it's too expensive to be a basic dryer and too specialized to replace a multi-tool. For the price difference, most people I know just went with the Airwrap and called it done. Not that the Supersonic is bad, it's just... single-purpose. You're paying Dyson premium prices for something that only dries.
The Airwrap i.d. sits between the focused Supersonic and the specialized Coanda2x, which means it serves nobody particularly well. Dyson's ecosystem thinking prioritizes versatility over mastery. Six functions in one object dilutes each one. You're trading depth for breadth, a middling compromise. The Supersonic owns heat management for curly textures. The Coanda2x owns curl creation. This unit owns nothing decisively. Bluetooth dependency adds friction without solving actual styling problems. I'd pick the Supersonic for daily drying or commit to the Coanda2x if curl definition matters.
